These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Darling mobile app ("Darling", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Darling, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Darling is not a medical service. It offers educational and motivational support for quitting smoking and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about quitting, medications, your menstrual cycle, or any health concern. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

1. License to use Darling

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Darling for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Health & informational disclaimer

Timelines, cycle insights, savings calculations, and tips are estimates and general information. Individual results vary. Darling does not guarantee any particular health outcome, and you use the information at your own discretion and risk.

3. Subscriptions, free trials & billing

Darling offers optional auto-renewing premium subscriptions (monthly and yearly) purchased through Google Play.
If a free trial is offered, your paid subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play account settings.
Payments are processed by Google. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's policies; we do not separately process payments or refunds.
Prices and plans may change; any change will apply to future billing periods and be disclosed before it takes effect.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Darling — including attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the app's security or premium features, or using it in violation of any law.

5. Intellectual property

Darling, including its name, design, mascot, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. The entries and notes you create are yours; the app simply stores them on your device.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Darling is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any specific result.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) Darling.

8. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
